Classical Tagalog

The pre-modern stage of the Tagalog language written primarily in the Latin script during the Spanish colonial period heavily influenced by Spanish, Hokkien Chinese (Early Manila Hokkien), and Japanese elements, which later developed into Modern Tagalog, also known as Filipino, following linguistic reforms in the early 20th century.
