The villagers had multiple options to name their village: * "Italian Village" after the John Hay park on the south border * "Igorot Village" after the village inside the camp * "Country Club Village" after the people who were displaced from their bunkhouses The winner was "Country Club Village". It became a barangay on September 21, 1974.
