Eastern Daylight Time

The timezone that encompasses 23 states in the East Coast and the eastern Midwest in the United States, as well as the majority of the provinces and Ontario and Quebec and the eastern third of Nunavut in Canada from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November; it is four hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-4), and one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
