tented arch

A type of fingerprint pattern where ridges enter from one side, rise sharply in the center to form a peak or spike (like a tent), and then exit on the other side; unlike a plain arch which has a smoother, wave-like flow; the steep upward thrust of this pattern gives it a pointed, steeple-like appearance, making it a distinct and relatively rare variation within the broader arch category.
