Last year I came across a forum where wolfaboos believed that they were "special snowflakes" who where blessed with the ability to physically shape shift into wolves.

Frustration with fluff and wolfaboos is understandable: at stake in Otherkin representation is not merely an opinion about how the community should be characterized, but the very idea that Otherkin identification is a viable way to exist in the world.
